Privacy Policy

What I collect, and why.

Zorbit is my independent practice — one person, not a company with a data team. This page says plainly what I collect, what I do with it, and how to ask me to change or delete it. Last updated 23 August 2026.

What I collect

If you fill out the contact form (zorbit.com.au/start) — your name, email, company and website (if you give them), and whatever you write in the message. That’s delivered to my inbox through a third-party form service, Web3Forms.

If you become a client— I create your account by hand in Console (there’s no public sign-up), so I already have your name and email from working with you directly. Once you’re signed in, your project details, quotes, and invoices are stored in that account.

Everyone else— nothing. There’s no analytics, no ad tracking, no cookies that follow you around. The one piece of browser storage this site uses is a draft of the contact form saved on your own device while you’re filling it in — it never leaves your browser and clears once you submit.

How I use it

To reply to you, to run the project if we work together, and for nothing else. I don’t sell data, rent out an email list, or add you to marketing you didn’t ask for.

Who it's shared with

A short, real list — I don’t share data beyond what’s needed to run this site and Console:

  • Web3Forms — delivers contact-form submissions to my inbox.
  • Supabase — hosts the Console database and handles sign-in. Passwords are hashed; I never see them in plain text.
  • Vercel — hosts both this site and Console. Standard web server logs (like IP address and request time) pass through their infrastructure the way they would with any host.

Cookies & local storage

Console sets a session cookie so you stay signed in — that’s it, no tracking cookies anywhere. This marketing site sets none at all; the only browser storage in use is the local, on-device contact-form draft mentioned above.

How long I keep it

Contact-form messages, for as long as I need them to follow up — typically a few months if nothing comes of it. Client account data, for as long as the account exists, plus whatever I’m required to keep for tax and accounting records. Ask me to delete anything sooner and I will, unless I’m legally required to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask to see what I hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted, at any time — email jit@zorbit.com.au and I’ll sort it out directly, no form to fill in. If you’re in Australia, this is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Security

Client data is protected by row-level security in the database — your account can only ever see your own projects, not anyone else’s. Everything runs over HTTPS. No system is unbreakable, but this isn’t an afterthought either.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If anything meaningful changes about what I collect or how, I’ll update this page and move the date at the top. Worth a re-read every so often if you’re a client.
